As Chief Marketing Officer, Premium, Midscale, Economy Brands for Accor, Alexander (Alex) Schellenberger oversees the brand management and marketing strategies for Accor brands across the aforementioned segments including well-known brands such as Pullman, Novotel and ibis, among many others. Prior to taking on this role, Alex served as the company’s Group Chief Brand Officer and also held the role of Chief Luxury & Premium Brands Officer.
Alex brings a wealth of world-class branding and marketing experience to his position, with more than 17 years in senior executive positions that have taken him around the world including stints with Procter & Gamble, Coty, and jewellery manufacturer Swarovski. Throughout his 13-year career at P&G and Coty, Alex had the opportunity to work on many iconic international brands such as Wella, Hugo Boss Fragrances and Braun Electronics.
Proficient in English, German, French and Spanish, Alex earned an international Bachelor of Science in Business Studies from Lancaster University in the UK and the Warrington School of Business in the US; followed by a Master of Science double degree in International Business from EAE and Universidad Politecnica in Barcelona.
