Bernardo Fort-Brescia, FAIA, is a founding Principal of Arquitectonica. He studied architecture and urban planning at Princeton University and received a Master of Architecture from Harvard University, where he later taught. By achieving design excellence from the onset of the firm, today Arquitectonica has designed buildings in 58 countries from offices around the world.
Globally, Bernardo’s signature hospitality designs include the Mandarin Oriental Hotel Shanghai, Conrad Hotel Seoul, the Mr. C Coconut Grove, the JW Marriott Nashville, the East Hotel Miami, the Luxury Collection Cuzco, and the Cosmopolitan in Las Vegas to name a few. As luxury hospitality brands embark on mixed-use developments that include branded residences the firm has designed projects for noteworthy brands such as The Ritz-Carlton, St. Regis, Edition, Mandarin Oriental, Cipriani, Mr. C, East Hotels, Baccarat, and Rosewood, to name a select few.
Bernardo is hands-on in every project and cultivates the firm’s design culture by building teams that realize design excellence. He believes that through design you can change people’s perception of how they perceive and live in the built world. His creativity results in unique designs that respond to the location, culture and environment.
