Daniel Cheng

Senior Executive in Gaming & Hospitality

An engineer with a psychology major, Daniel Cheng spent half his career in the automation of the oil and petrochemical sector, which took him from Malaysia to Qatar, China, and Japan, among other shores, before blazing a trail over the last two decades in the nascent integrated resorts space in the hospitality industry. Jettisoned directly into the mise en scène of the first integrated resorts in Singapore, he has been an active purveyor in the legislation, planning, conceptualisation, and development of this multibillion-dollar sphere evolving across Macau, the Philippines, South Korea, Japan, Thailand, and across the Pacific to Florida and the U.S. northeast. A familiar commentator in the industry, his experience in the deregulation of integrated resorts in Japan is chronicled in his book, Japan Casino Uprising, an Amazon bestseller.
