Since 2018, Emilio Bogado is Vice President of Global Development & Acquisitions with Belmond. Emilio is responsible for defining and executing the Company’s growth strategy in the Americas and Europe.

Belmond is an internationally renowned owner and operator of luxury hotels, trains and cruises. Since the acquisition of the iconic Hotel Cipriani in Venice in 1976, Belmond has become the curator of some of the world’s most unique luxury travel experiences, taking discerning global travellers on surprising and unforgettable journeys spanning land, water, adventure, and relaxation.

Belmond is a 100% subsidiary of LVMH Moët Hennessy – Louis Vuitton SE (“LVMH”) since April 2019. With its family of over 75 maisons, LVMH is the undisputed leader in the world of luxury, creating products and experiences that embody unique savoir-faire.

Emilio began his career in investment banking in Argentina during 1994-2000. Subsequently, he was with GE Capital in Washington DC engaged in private equity investments throughout Latin America. In 2006, Emilio joined Marriott International at its HQ in Bethesda in a global corporate finance capacity. During 2010-2017, Emilio relocated to Barcelona to join Marriott’s European development team and was responsible for growing all of Marriott’s brands in Southern Europe.

Emilio earned his bachelor’s in economics from Washington College. He also holds an MBA with a concentration in finance from the University of Maryland.
