Senior Vice President Operations, Raffles and Orient Express
Guy Heywood began his career in his hometown at Four Seasons Sydney in 1990.
His prowess and deep understanding of the evolution of luxury guest delivery were recognised early on, and he was appointed as F&B manager at Four Seasons Tokyo in 1993, taking on responsibility for Four Seasons Singapore’s F&B operations soon afterwards as well.
After several years with Four Seasons, Guy was made General Manager by Adrian Zecha within the ranks of Aman, heading up the Amankila Hotel in Bali for half a decade.
Following his success in profitability and brand recognition for Amankila, he was given the responsibility of General Manager of Amangani in Wyoming from 2004 to 2007, serving as the regional manager for the USA and Caribbean for the group at the same time.
From Aman, Guy moved into the COO role with Alila Hotels and Resorts at their Singaporean head office where he stayed for nearly a decade.
Guy then served as COO of Six Senses, based in Bangkok, where his focus was not only on providing unique guest experiences but doing so sustainably with wellness programmes for guests and hosts at the centre of the brand’s core values.
Upon his return to Europe, Guy joined Habitas as CEO of hotels and COO of Janu Hotels, the new sister brand to Aman Resorts. A true 30-year luxury hospitality veteran, Guy is known for his innovation and sensitivity in bringing the best of luxury to guests in all aspects of their stays, creating and cultivating lifelong and generational devotees to the brands he has helped develop.
