Tal Danai
Founder & Creative Director, ArtLink
Tal Danai founded ArtLink in 1996. In early 1997, ArtLink partnered with Sotheby’s auction house to form the ArtLink@Sotheby’s International Young Art Program, building the infrastructure for a new segment of emerging art into the global art market. In 1999, CNN called it “the most exciting development in the art market in decades,” and in 2021 it was estimated that 87% of all recorded transactions in the global art market are of young and emerging art.
In 2002, ArtLink completed its first hotel art collection, and has since curated and provided art collections for over 150 other hotels and cruise ships, growing to become the leading global art consultancy within the hospitality segment.
ArtLink collaborates in research with the Center for Neuroaesthetics of Pennsylvania University, with the Empirical Aesthetics Lab at the Department of Psychology of Vienna University and with NOVA Medical School at Lisbon University and is the only art entity certified by Green Globe for Cultural Sustainability and Regeneration.
Danai holds academic degrees in art, business and law. He is Seatrade Global’s Ambassador for Art & Design, an Advisory Board Member of Marine Interiors and SMM Hamburg, and holds the rank of Sensei in Kyokushin Karate.
